Terms of Service

1. Agreement

By installing, accessing, or using Gmail Sense (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The Service

Gmail Sense is a Chrome extension and supporting service that helps authorized users work with Gmail and Google Contacts. Features may include sending and scheduling emails, personalized sequences, reply-status indicators, recipient selection, contact import, contact organization, and labeling.

When you request a Contacts feature, Gmail Sense uses the Google People API Contacts scope `https://www.googleapis.com/auth/contacts` to retrieve, create, update, organize, and label the contact names and email addresses needed for that action. This permission is used only for the Google Contacts features you authorize. Supabase Edge Functions may invoke the requested import, generation, and labeling actions on your behalf.

Depending on the feature you use, Gmail Sense may also request `https://www.googleapis.com/auth/gmail.send` to send messages you compose or schedule, and `https://www.googleapis.com/auth/userinfo.email` plus `https://www.googleapis.com/auth/userinfo.profile` to identify your authorized Google account and associate your account email, given name, and family name with your Gmail Sense account. Each scope is limited to the feature and account operation for which you authorize it.

3. AI-Assisted Contact Generation

Gmail Sense may use artificial intelligence to create, structure, format, organize, or generate Google Contacts-compatible contact records and import data for features you request. AI-assisted processing may support contact preparation, field mapping, deduplication, recipient organization, and labeling workflows.

You authorize Gmail Sense to process the contact information required for an action you initiate and to send the minimum necessary information to Supabase Edge Functions over HTTPS. AI outputs may contain errors. You are responsible for reviewing generated contact data, recipients, labels, and actions before relying on them.

5. Account and Communications

You must have a Google account that you are authorized to use and must provide accurate information. Supabase Edge Functions may receive and maintain your Gmail address, given name, family name, registration date and time, and most recent sign-in or service-use date and time to authenticate and operate your account, provide support, prevent abuse, and maintain security.

We may send service, security, account, and feature communications. We may also send marketing emails about Gmail Sense, product updates, new features, and related products or services. You can opt out of marketing communications at any time using the unsubscribe link in the message. Operational and legally required communications may still be sent.

6. Your Responsibilities

• Keep your Google account secure and use only accounts you are authorized to access.
• Review generated contacts, labels, recipients, messages, and schedules before confirming an action.
• Use the Service only for lawful communications and in compliance with applicable privacy, marketing, and email laws.
• Do not use the Service for spam, phishing, fraud, harassment, malware, deceptive messages, or unauthorized access.
• Do not reverse engineer, disrupt, abuse, resell, or attempt to bypass the Service's security controls.
• Comply with Google's Terms of Service and applicable Google API policies.

7. Email Sending and Scheduling

You are responsible for the content, recipients, timing, frequency, and legality of emails sent or scheduled through Gmail Sense. You must have an appropriate basis to contact recipients and must include disclosures, unsubscribe options, and sender information where required by law. Gmail and Google may impose quotas or restrictions, and Gmail Sense does not guarantee delivery.

8. Intellectual Property

Gmail Sense, including its software, branding, design, and original content, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for its intended purpose. You retain rights to information and content you provide, subject to the permissions needed to operate the Service.

9. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, error-free AI-generated data, accurate reply indicators, successful imports or labels, or delivery of any email. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Gmail Sense is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including errors in generated data, recipient selection, scheduling, or delivery.

10. Suspension and Changes

We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, misuse the Service, create security or legal risk, or if continued operation is not reasonably possible. We may modify the Service or these Terms as it develops. The updated date above identifies the latest revision; continued use after changes means you accept the revised Terms.
